About Pilates Core Center
In business for over seventeen years, we are a brick-and-mortar boutique pilates studio offering in-studio and some virtual group Pilates mat classes, ARCUS, reformer, CoreAlign, mixed equipment, Pilates tower and springboard, and yoga classes.
As a mature business with vast experience and in-depth knowledge, we always look for better ways to serve our clients. We have six instructors who teach weekly classes and five to six who sub and teach occasional “flash” classes. Group classes and private and semi-private sessions are offered seven days a week.
The Pilates Core Center Difference
At Pilates Core Center, our studio appeals to individuals who are knowledgeable about health and wellness and understand that finding a life-long movement modality is critical to good health. Balance, mindful movement, flexibility, strength, and some weight-bearing exercise are all important as we age. Pilates is an ideal way to accomplish those goals and improve quality of life; our clients know this.
One aspect that makes us second to none is our staff consists of master Pilates teachers focused on continuing education and providing our clients with the best services in South Jersey. We are a Balanced Body Pilates Teacher Training facility that offers a mentoring/apprentice program to support individuals beyond teacher training modules.
What sets us apart from the rest of our competitors is in addition to providing Pilates classes as a form of exercise, we also support individuals pre and post-surgery and physical therapy. In addition, we work with individuals with neurological disorders, college and professional athletes, dancers, runners, rowers, etc. Our group classes are also kept small, so clients receive the attention they need and deserve.
One of our most significant achievements has been that within the first five years of opening our doors, we have expanded into larger studio spaces three times. We have met business challenges during the downturn of 2008 and the COVID-19 shutdown by working together as a team and being supported by our wonderful clientele. Within days of the studio shutdown, we offered our clients virtual and on-demand classes and continue to offer those types of classes for our clients so they can take classes with their favorite teachers 24/7.
Our future dream is to continue growing and serving our community.
While we are passionate about what we do, we also care about protecting the environment. To do our part, we are nearly paperless as our business functions (scheduling and financials) are entirely web-based. We recycle printer cartridges when we have them, do not use plastic water bottles, and use reusable cloths to wipe down our equipment.
We also believe in giving back to society, and as part of that belief, we support our local community fundraising efforts and our schools.
