Pilates Group Classes
Intro to Tower and Chair - This an introduction to the tower and chair. Learn basic exercise and movement and find a new way to reach your fullest Pilates potential.
Pilates Reformer Basics and Pilates Springboard/Reformer Basics - Great for beginner Pilates students or those returning to exercise. Move through a series of exercises designed by Joseph Pilates to lengthen and strengthen your body. Challenge your body with flow that allows for a group of vigorous moves to be followed by one to catch your breath. All of the exercises incorporate the total body leaving you feeling balanced and walking away with improved posture. Offers a good base of exercises and is a great place to begin your reformer practice.
Group Reformer - Level 1-2 - A beginner to intermediate class offering new challenges to students who have experienced the fundamental exercises and have a sound understanding of the principles of Pilates.
Reformer Challenge - This is a flowing Pilates reformer class that will challenge strength, stabilization and flexibility. NO BEGINNERS, please!
Tower and Chair Intermediate/Advanced - This class will challenge your core and stability. Class is not suitable for beginners. Clients must receive instructor approval to take this class.
30 Minute Jumpboard - 30 minutes of Jumpboard to follow group reformer class.
Pilates Mat and Reformer Combo - This class offers the best of Pilates - mat and reformer. The focus is on precision, concentration and breath. This class is designed for beginners through advanced. Getting back to basics enhances even the most experienced Pilates practitioner.
Pilates Mat, Toys and Springboard - A combination of Pilates mat excercises using props in addition to resistance exercises using the Springboard. Using the roll down bar and loops for feet and arms is a wonderful way to strengthen, stretch and work your core.
Springboard/Wall Tower - Springboard/Wall Tower class uses resistance training to tone and strengthen the body. It is a complete body workout with the primary focus being on the abdominals as the stabilizers. This is a wonderfully fun and challenging way to bridge mat work with spring resistance.
Cardiolates - A cardio rebounding class with resistance training. We will use props, barre, toys and the wall tower. Approximately 20 minutes of rebounding with interval training. A great way to exercise the entire body...invigorating yet at the same time allowing for a wonderful night's sleep!
Yoga Classes
Yoga for Fitness Enthusiasts - Yoga for Fitness Enthusiasts combines the ancient yoga practice with modern fitness movements and safety guidelines. Yoga for Fitness includes the elements of a tough cardiovascular workout as well as strength building postures that lengthen and strengthen your muscles without adding unnecessary bulk. Yoga for Fitness balances mind and body, gets you in great shape, focuses your efforts and helps prevent sports injuries.
Lunch Time Yoga - Return to work revitalized and leave behind any workday stress! You will be lead through yoga poses appropriate for all levels - no yoga experience necessary!
Restorative Yoga - Come explore the ancient practice of yoga. Using constant support, learn the postures, breathing and relaxation techniques that allow you to exercise with ease. This class is appropriate for returning exercisers or those experiencing injury or chronic discomfort.
Vinyasa - A dynamic flowing intermediate to advanced classis vinyasa yoga class that will build strength and stamina yet leave you with a sense of peace and calm.
Yin Yoga with Reiki - Yin Yoga is a relaxing and gentle practice of floor postures held for 3 to 5 minutes at a time. Yin Yoga focuses on restoring and gently stretching the deep connective tissue that form the joints in the hips, thighs, pelvis and lower spine. Yin is a more internalized practice and helps relieve bodily aches and pains through deep stretches and long holds. Relaxing in this way allows for recognition and release of tensions that are held deep in the body. Reiki is spiritually guided life energy which helps harmonize body, mind and spirit. Yin Yoga with Reiki will guide you into a deep relaxation and restoration of the body and mind. Appropriate for all levels.
Other Classes
Barre Class - Class combining cardio, Pilates, core conditioning, ballet barre movements with light weights and props to create length, strengthen, tone and balance. Open to all levels.
Zumba Plus - A fun way to burn calories, exercise body and mind. Open to those with two left feet as well as more advanced movers. You will set your level. Come and see how great it feels to move your whole body with a sense of abandon to contempory music selections. Before and after the cardio portion of the class we will stretch and do some strength training.
Happy Hour Zumba - Celebrate the end of the week in a safe and friendly environment. Join us for Happy Hour Zumba! This Level 1 class is designed to get your heart pumpin' and your body movin'. No experience necessary.
TRX Flow - A challenging strength, stretch and balance building class using the TRX suspension system and props. Sneakers required for this class.
45 Minute Cardio Circuit - Class designed to strengthen your core using bands, stability balls, and other functional equipment. This 45 minute class will be a great addition to any workout program to help maximize your results.
Belly Dancing - Nyla's unique style reflects great emotion, characteristic of Dances of Central Asia and sensuality of the traditional Danse Orientale. Nyla's class material includes a breakdown of the basis shape, steps and traveling techniques creating a foundation for layering with a focus on developing proper posture, flexibility and muscle control.
